Avoir ou non les Developer Tools ?
La plupart des commandes présentées ici sont incluses dans l'installation standard de Mac OS X. Cependant, certaines commandes ne sont installées qu'avec les Developer Tools. Par conséquent, veillez à tester vos scripts sur une machine où les Developer Tools ne sont pas installés si vous voulez les distribuer.
D'avantage de documentation ?
La commande shell man permet d'accéder à la documentation des commandes shell (y compris elle-même). do shell script "man somecommand" renvoie la documentation de la commande "somecommand" mais sous une forme peu lisible. Il est préférable d'utiliser Shelp (dans le sous-menu Scripting du menu des scripts utilisateurs) pour visualiser cette documentation : entrez la commande dans le champ de texte, puis cliquez sur le bouton man.
Vous pouvez cependant obtenir la documentation d'une commande dans un format lisible en utilisant le script suivant, provenant de la liste macosxhints et qui nous a été signalée par Adam Bell, John Delacour, et Shane Stanley.
