Scripting automates any task that you performed once from Smile: for instance, it makes natural to develop some algorithm using one file as an example and a test, and then apply it to all the files in a given folder.
But another strategic advantage of scripting is the extensive control on Smile's objects that it provides.
We shall briefly present Smile's object model, then we demonstrate its use on an example where we make a data visualization script from scratch.
